Screen Printing Order Checklist

Artwork preparation

The screen printing process starts with artwork. For vector formats, Illustrator and PDF files work great. Please convert text to outlines so that we won’t need your font files. For raster formats, PNG and JPG files work well if they are crisp and clean at print size, at 300 DPI resolution. If all of this is like speaking another language, or you don’t have any artwork to start with, that’s not an issue either. We can help with custom artwork design and preparation.

Type of shirts or hoodies

We can make suggestions if you’re not sure what you want, but we will need to figure out what brand, blend or style of t-shirt or hoodie you’d want. We print other stuff too of course, like tote bags, tank tops, long sleeve shirts.

Quantity and size breakdown

If you’re gathering specific sizes from a group of people, please compile it so that we know how many of each size to order. 2XL and 3XL are usually available in most styles. If you need anything larger than that, let us know and we can help you figure it out.

If you are estimating a breakdown of sizes for your order, just think about the audience they will be for. A common breakdown may be 20% small, 25% medium, 30% large, 10% XL, 10% 2XL and 5% 3XL.

Generally, 2XL or 3XL is $2 more per shirt.

Delivery date

Printing an order generally takes two weeks, because of our apparel delivery time and our production queue. If you need your apparel by a certain day, please let us know when you place your order.

If you need to rush either printing or shipping, we can usually make that work for you!

How pricing works

In order to give you accurate pricing, we need to know how many colors will be printed, how many locations will be printed, and what kind of garment you want.

In screen printing, screens are created for every color, and then every location is a different print run, so pricing typically rises with complexity. If you want to keep the cost low, try to keep your design to 1 or 2 colors.

We are able to offer pricing discounts for larger orders. Our minimum order is 30 pieces.

Basically, pricing goes up as the print gets more complicated (more locations and colors), and pricing goes down as the quantity goes up.

We’d love to work with you on your next screen printing order. We can quote anything you need via email or through our quote request form here.
